Need help again.....please.......

I have a problem with my "future" multitrack recording software.... Right now I'm using Magix Studio 7...it's old, but works ok...but now I want to change to something bigger and better... I have tried using Cubae SX 2 on my computer, but it runs slow...reeeeealy slow... And sometimes it's looses contact with my soundcard or something... I've checked the system requirements, and it should run ok, but it don't... WHY??

I'm currently using a laptop: 1,4 Ghz Intel Centrino, 512 Mb ram, 120 Gb HD and a new Behringer BCA2000 soundcard...

If the reason is that my computer sux...which other other software that will work can you recommend for me to use.....?

That version of Cubase is not cracked is it? that program is very stable and your comp specs are ok it should run fine!

I'm using a laptop with similar conf. I had problems with some software (all legal copies ). Now I'm using Tracktion and it works perfectly... so theres something about your computer...
Just look around and find a software that fits your machine the best. I would suggest you to try Mackie's Tracktion.

If your software is cracked then it may be unstable. so if you cant afford SX then why not try cubase VST 5.1? in the uk it is pretty cheap if you buy from ebay.

Yea, cracked software is bad! Bad in the sense that its illegal and also it's bad as... not complete and 'unhealthy' for your computer. There's plenty of free or really cheap software around if you dont have the money...

Software...

I run Cubase SL 2.0 on a mac and it runs fine. Can't help on the PC. However, I would try testing something that has really low requirements and don't load it up with vst's. Then you can see if things run better. Keep adding things to find the slow down point. This will tell you if it is the software bogging your machine down. Also, try Ntracks or Tracktion. Your better off with a stable system first, more tricks later.

I have to admit I have a cracked version...but that just because i was unsure if my computer could handle the prog... I didn't want to trow away that money....

You comp has enough power to run the program, try Cubase SE for $100us its a great program for the money!

Might also want to try nTracks or Ardour

Though I haven't used it myself, I've heard good things about nTracks by FaSoft. It's supposed to be cheap, and quite decent.

Or, you can try free, open-source Linux-based software called Ardour. Again, I've heard good things, and I'm always a fan of free software, but it's still in beta, so try at your own risk!
