Can someone tell me what is the flatest dynamic microphone out there under 150$
they all seem to have some kind of presence boost .
I want to be able to record live take of blues rock band.?

Please something else then 58 or 57?

It is for the vocal it's got to be clear around 4000Hz no boost if possible
i'm beginning to think it does not existe

Try an Electrovoice 635-A

Why would you want that mike ?
And certanly, does it HAVE to be dynamic ?

You can get a behringer ECM8000 (electret condensor mike) for 40$
They're quite flat. Dunno bout dynamics

For cutting live vocals?

Whatever.

If you can swing $175, the Beyer M201 is a really excellent live and studio mic. Basically flat at 4kHz, a little rise at 12kHz, but if you use the included windscreen that should disappear.

Beware the proximity effect though--chess' 635a won't have that problem. Buy one of each!

Audio Technica makes some decent mics for less than $100, if you don't mind using a carloid try a PRO 2 ax, not a bad mic for vocals or acoustic guitar, it's in the $40-$50 range. It's not bad with mids and highs but dosen't have a lot to offer on the bass end.
