My friend just brought over two of his dad's PA speakers. (I dont really know if they are intended for PA use but I'm cheap and will take what I can get) They are Acoustic USA speakers. I took out the woofer and read that each speaker is 300W and 8 ohms. So now i need a good power amp. I am loooking for something in the 150 - 200 W range. Let me know what you think.
Thanks.

 Hafler, Crown, Crest, QSC all make good smaller size amps.......
Go for one at the best price......
Look in musicians friend, AMS, Fullcompass, RocknRythm, Interstate catalogues.

Another Question

because the speakers say "8 ohms" on them, will I always have to run the amp at 8 ohms? Or is that the limit?

 The 8 ohm's on the speaker means the resistance the amp will see, You'll need an amp that can deliver at least 300 wts into 8 ohms, it will probably also deliver 450 wts into 4 ohms......

Read the spec's on the amp as you shop for an amp, this will help determine what size of amp to buy......
