I am not sure how much you know about Barefoot monitors, but they are having great success with high end and high profile users. You can joke about them all you want, but there is a nice long waiting list to buy them.

Yeah, but that's not really how I want it to be. I almost have an honest to goodness production line in place. We'll be building in large batches within the next month or so. So the long waiting list should hopefully disappear.

Thanks!

I Have a pair of Yorkville YSM1P I find there great for the price. :D

The factory is not far from were I live which is a plus :D :D :D If I need Help :D

Pretty happy with my BX8's. they have good bass response and a very clean tight sound. They are adjustable for the room and the price is right for a set of active monitors. Haven't heard the newer version BX8a.

In present peculiar setup using Dunlavy IV/A right now.
For keyboards slightly modified Tannoy Reveals and trusty JBL 4425.

But this is my first choice of the best monitors I've heard : Sigma 6.2

Since I adore planars, but treasure time coherent dynamic designs, I dream of this Sigma with monopole ribbon. But that opens so many problems :(

Now it's ADAM S2As ......!!
Glad to see esteemed DMRX100 owners are heading in the right drivers/direction :)

I'll toss in the BX5a as well. My ears have grown to them quite easily and they don't leave me bleeding.

What, no Event ASP8's on that list? :p

love my ASP8s.....HUGE step up from the m-audio SP5B's i was using......and i considered (and still do) the sp5b's to be the best monitors m-audio's ever made (not that that's really saying much). the sp8b's and the later 5's and 8's all had "issues"......unnaturally hyped low end, nasty high end, holes in the midrange.....whatever, *something* was there that wasn't there on the sp5b's--they were rather natural sounding speakers--they just had NOTHING below 150Hz.

the asp8's, though, leave the m-audios and everything even close (including the comparably priced dyns and mackies, IMO) in the dust.

sure monitors are personal and subjective.......all's i know is that the first time i mixed on the asp8's, i knew they were the right ones for me. may everyone's monitor choice be so simple.

cheers,
wade

PS--and man, how cool would it have been if we'd snagged one of those early sets of barefoots, eh? i wonder what "barefoot prototypes" would ebay for these days? :D :D :D :p
