Hi

I am trying to create a continuous sound with a 7 sec long file.

Everytime it loops, I get a CLICK

the sound is at

Any advice appreciated

Thanks

the clicking is caused because the end of the waveform ends at a different vertical position than where it starts. you just have to make them a continuous wave.

try the Envelope filter. it has a preset where it very quickly fades the sound in at the beginning, and out at the end of the loop. but for loops 5 seconds and more, i've found that the fadeout it provides can be quite noticeable, and not desirable.

if you find that to be the case, zoom in on the beginning and end of the file and create an extremely short fade-in at the beginning, and a short fade-out at the end, using the Amplification tool. that should do the trick.

the click is the LAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSST

teenytiny sample at the end of the wave.

Zoom in (alot) at the end and (the beginning) if neccessary,

and cut off, or Effects>Silence

the last little hump or valley.

try to have the last sample even in the middle, at 0,

with no red showing, on either side.

Id recommended what dude suggested as well, come to think of it...

zoom in and just fade out the final milliseconds....so as to not change the time length of your wave...

let us know..

yeah you don't want to actually CUT any of the wave file, or your loops will start to fall out of sync with any other tracks or loops you have going. just use the amplification tool to fade it out. make it end and begin on zero.

Great

What I did was zoom right in to the beginning and end and made sure I deleted a small part that enabled the wave to continue as a continuous wave. ie I started the wave from zero on the upward wave, and the end of the wave on an upward wave from the bottom and ending on zero midline.

Cheers
