I want to narrate children's stories for audio publishers, so they need to be professionally recorded. I'm extremely low-tech as I've said. Will the recorder on my machine do as well as Cool Edit 2000? It's just that it seems so much easier to learn. Can you edit out flubbed words on the computer. I'm using Windows xp home.
I've gotten some wonderful help on this board, and now have a new computer because the old one was -- well, old. I'd also like to know the difference between the regular sound card the computer came with and a more expensive one. Does it actually produce a better sound or just that you can do more with it, like adding tracks, etc. Which I don't need to be concerned with. Thanks so much. I've got a 14.95 computer mike and it seems to sound fine. But maybe a more expensive one would sound better?
