N-track with 20bit Layla???

When using N-track with 20 bit Echo Layla, do I chose 24 bit or 16 bit on n-track for recording? I am a bit confused on this. If the card does not support 24 bit format, then I would only be able to record 16 bit in n-track since there is no selection for 20 bit, right? in this case, would I not be able to acheive 20 bit recording? Any help on this is much apprecited if anyone knows.
