I just downloaded n-track and got off to a bad start. I hope this is not a sign of things to come. Anywho, when I enter the program and click on record (or anything for that matter), I get the following message:

"Error opening wave input device. Make sure that the sampling frequency and the recording format set in the dialog box that appears clicking on the setting button on the recroding vumeter are supported by the sound card.
If you're using wdm driver (selected in preference/ wave devices dialog box) make sure that you're not using the microsoft mid synth (selected in the preference/midi/midi device dialog box) that inhibits the use of the wdm device that the synth outputs to."

I have an SB live soundcard. Has anyone come across this problem or know how I may fix this?

Thanks,
YZL

Did you try the other inputs? Obviously, your SBLive does not like the wdm drivers.

Start with something simple (MME driver). Get the program to work. Then see what other drivers are compatible with your system/OS/drivers. It may also be possible that you have a conflict or a corrupt driver.

and dont quote me on this, but i think you have to record at a 48khz sampling rate with a Soundblaster.......

Gidge,

You don't >have< to record at 48k with an SBLive (but if you don't everything will be resampled on-the-fly and you can get artifacts in the sound doing funky things.) 16bit/48k is the native sampling rate of both the SBLive and the Audigy/fraudigy cards.

(I have an Echo Mia and an SBLive in my PC that I use together.)

YZL, any luck yet???
