I have an alesis multimix 8 usb, can't get a stereo signal into my laptop although i know the signal going into laptop is stereo?? I have an hp laptop with vista home premium. the alesis seemed to work great into my old laptop (xp)....anybody have this issue??

Make sure the ALesis is selected as the soundcard. Download the ASIO drivers.
