In the last month, I packed up all my gear from the old basement studio and put it into the townhouse garage for storage. I miss all those knobs.

Now, my builder is digging the footings for the foundation of my detached studio. He agreed to a 16' X 23' footprint. The footings will be dug by hand to avoid damaging the roots of the trees in which the studio will be nestled. The placement of the studio is about 40 feet from the main house, which is well under construction. I rotated it so I can see the kitchen and family rooms from my chair at the workstation. The door will be on the back corner so you'll walk along the side (which is on the uphill grade) to get in. The west window looks into the forest of hardwoods toward the river. I'm starting to wet myself from excitement.

Next: laying the cinderblock...

Sounds great!

Sounds great Todzilla! I almost wet myself just reading about the location of your soon to be studio. Snap some photos and post 'em on the board so we can see!

later,
Ryan
