My studio construction thread

This space blows me away and really makes me look forward to my project. I'm just getting into wood working so I'm collecting tools at the moment. Just bought my first table saw a month or so ago and just picked up a random orbital sander and new jigsaw last week! I have more things to get but I'm getting there. I should have everything on my list in a few months! I'll be building out the studio while I'm collecting my tools!

Believe it or not, I don't have drawn plans for the desk. I had been developing it in my mind for about 4 years so when it came time to actually build it, it just sort of spilled out of me. The upside is that it would be very easy for me to create accurate drawings and pass them along to you. So when you get close to building a desk, let me me know.

In the meantime, check your PMs--I'm gonna send you my email address so you can reach me when you're ready to build.
 
I had to click back through the pages to see what all the fuss was about. That is a truly stunning desk, WhiteStrat! And Jesse is beautiful too!

thank you whitestrat for this thread has been completely inspiring and u have done absolutely beautiful work by the way .....i am new to this thread but not new to recording have a few set backs but restarting my studio my son is a 16 year old drummer ...i say that to say this i read ur thread from beginning to end and the most inspiring pic was of yourself and your son in the back ground and i hope that i am as blessed to be abel to put a place as inviting as the one you have been blessed to have the talent to put together ...best of luck .. and again ..great thread and a beautiful place u have there
