Six years ago, when I last posted, I was starting to figure out how to create one-take improvised live-in-studio recordings. My project at the time was a trio named LCW; we published 106 sessions on Bandcamp. The LCW sessions ended in late 2019.

In 2024 I left the tech industry to pursue my passions as an artist. I reconnected with Joe, LCW’s drummer, to form Lamkins Williams X. I did a complete studio rebuild (my tenth, I think). The music took a turn from guitar-centered to something more electronic. We publish our ongoing sessions to Apple and Spotify as Lamkins Williams X.

Sounds really interesting! Wow! You're rebuilding your studio a lot if it's your tenth time! It'd be interesting to see a photo of your new studio!

I’ll post some info and photos in the studios topic, soon. Maybe a video walkthrough, too…

Yah, it’s a lot of rebuilding. Always working towards a goal, though. In the early years, it was just figuring out how things worked. Later, I focused on other things. The decade has been simplification of the production workflow: it now takes under a half hour to completely prepare a session for publication.
