Congratulations!, My favorite music is metal, but growing up in Texas I was raised on country and football games, so it's kind of embedded in me.
 
Hey I would say thats a nice accomplishment. I am from new york and my school plays there games on saturdays at 1 I was just wondering in the south all high schools play on friday nights?
 
Is used to live in Charlotte NC. The main reason the games are on Friday night is it isn't so hot in the evening
In New Jesery, high school football is on Saturday afternoons

congrats! my blues riff actually broke top 50 in the acoustic guitar genre, and this one i'm working on now jumped to almost breaking the top 50 after i think just a few folks listened to it to give input here in the clinic. i guess a few clicks couldn't hurt! btw i clicked yours, nice tune but could you get better compression bitrate?

Are you talking about the MP3 compression? Other than that, the only compression on this is multiband during mastering, and that is 64 bit.

Thanks for the comments and the hits folks. It is still number one today (alt.country) and moved up to number two on the overall country chart.

Well done, You've done pretty good in the charts. This is your second No1 i think. Kinda has a Willie nelson feel to it, for me anyway. Cool Tune. I always wondered about the Chart system in Soundclick. My Highest Position Is 18 in Acoustic Folk, but with every new song i put up i jump a few places. Does anyone know how the charting system works on there. How many people have to listen etc?
 
I think being consistent in a slot means you're doing really well. Nice work man! Regarding how the charts work, I don't know- I've had some really crappy stuff break the top 100 with just a few listens, only to fall way off a couple days later. I think the charts people like to be nice to newbs like me or something. ;)

It is determined by unique listens and votes of hot or flop. I've had over 10,000 unique listens in the last four months.

NEWSFLASH!... This song has just been picked up by the largest country radio station in central Texas... WACO 100!

i love this tune, steve. well done!

it's got that feeling of nostalgia that i always feel when the telltale chill hits the late september air here in central VA. kinda makes you feel 17 again.

and that pedal steel tone is to die for. :D

Still holding the number one spot... It should start playing on regular radio this Friday. I got a note from someone who has a connection to the new NBC show "Friday Night Lights". He loves the song and thinks it would be a great background track for the show. So, the song will be pitched to the producer.
One can dream....
