my setup + suggestions?

ok i have a home studio, where i record exclusivly hip-hop/rap tracks.....a bit of singing for hooks but not really that much...

just finished buying the last of the cruicials...heres what i have so far:

pair of M-audio bx8 monitors
m-audio DMP3 preamp
Shure SM7B mic
Stanton DJ PRO 505 headphones
tama mic stand
all needed wiring

im still deciding on which soundcard to buy but prolly gonna go wit delta 44 or 1010

what do you gues think of this setup?

also what should i buy next? i know i need a booth, but dont even know where to begine researching it..but other then that...what would you guys recomend? i was thinking of an effects processor but im not sure if its really needed....

any suggestions?

Room treatment, check out the building forum. Read as much as you can in there. Look out especially for bass traps.

Hey you got a great list going. What are you goign to be recording?

You may not NEED a booth as bad as you think. A room filled with stuff (if its fairly quiet) works just fine for starters. With that said. I have a firepod / cuebase, and must say im quite pleased with its performace.
