Umm noise...wouldn't you want to edit your signature in that case? Not starting anything, just didn't know if you were thinking of that when you quoted him.

I'll second (or is it third? ;) ) that request.

It's bad enough that this thread and the one about "idiot newbies" are still alive, even worse that they are the two hottest threads going right now. And it's completly unacceptable - to my sensibilities, anyway - that the two hottes threads in this place are the ones that ae rapidly degenerating into bigotry camps. It's for these reasons that I'm apologizing in general for even participating in them to begin with.

Nik, I have a pretty good idea that you didn't mean anything cruel with that sig, that you were just trying to be funny in a shocking kind of way, but I for one wouldn't mind seeing it disappear. Nothing personal.

FWIW, the intention was to make clear the vulgarity of this particular individual - and any offence caused would be at his expense, not mine. I don't think use of the 'n' word as a slang term is acceptable in any setting, and I've made that quite clear.

However, as people would rather I didn't make that point in that way, I shall of course defer to your extremely polite and WELL-FOUNDED requests to remove it!

Understood, and thanks. :) I think his vulagrity is pretty self-evident. :( Part of the problem I had with it in a sig was that it spread that vulgarity to every thread and forum in which you have a current post, which is probably most of them, seeing as how you are one of the regular regulars. I was just trying to do a little containment, if nothing else.

Plus, folks who have not been to this thread would have read that sig and blamed you, not him, for the vulgarity, causing yet more of those pesky Internet misunderstandings which are so common and do nothing good for any of us.

Besides, a true ninja does not swear or use racial epithets. Sure, he may pop a few boners, flip out and kill people, but at least he won't be vulgar about it. You cannot obtain True Ultimate Power* with a pottymouth.

Heh, I actually liked the sig....just figured he might have heard something from the n word and probably may have offended as well....I just thought it should have been censored like Jerry Springer at 2 p.m.

My woman makes me record in the icebox so the house doesn't burn down. It's cold but we're not homeless.

Actually, he contacted me on Yahoo pager yesterday. I think you may be right, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt. I have since blocked him - and I will not in the future respond to his requests until he learns to be polite.

I had to ask him 8 times (I counted) to wait till I got off of work. I had to ask him to stop calling me nigga, which I find offensive.

He asks my advice, and when I give him the same type of answers he got from everyone else, he tells me I'm wrong.

So, I consider him a troll. An ugly one at that.

Incidentally, this is actually the 3rd time THIS WEEK that I have been contacted via IM by a newbie on this board - one of those times from someone who had 0 posts. I have since removed my IM links from my profile.
