My New Studio/Practice Room

before shot is shown below...in the basement of our house. was limited by budget (of course) and the house structure (100yr old house), but wrapped up a lot nicer than what was there in the beginning!

thanks...no, actually a small 'control' area (mixing board/computer/effects rack, etc..). however, occasionally you can find some some items from a bar in there

thanks nick....yeah, my wife and i had a dark red in our living room in our last house which i really liked...so i kinda wanted that look again...you won't believe the name of the color .....'drum beat red' ...had to use it

sound is much better...ie, the sound is controlled much better as before there were sound waves all over the place...especially when setting up for practice, eq'ing was a bear . actually have not practiced w/my band since finishing, but it is obvious to me that it will be easier as the acoustics are just much more controlled...as for the money put into it...was definitely worth the while...i didn't put that much into probably 1500 bucks? maybe 2k....i was basically walling the area, painting, minimal wiring and sound treating...and did all the work myself.
