So I went and I bought my monitors today. I took all of you guys advice on what to look for and I've been reading some of the reviews on some of the websites and found that these were the ones that sounded best for the price. I went and bought the Event TR5's and for one thing, they are loud. :p Before I got these, I was using my computer speakers, which were like tweeters and a subwoofer. When I would do my mix my songs would sound just right through them old speakers, but with the TR5's they sounded much different. Some of my volume levels were a little too loud and some were too soft. My oldest brother was helping me, in pointing out, what needed more/less volume, thought that I was still messing with the song. But, I told him that I was having to readjust the volume levels again. Question is, am I wrong on having to readjust the mix, or is he for losing patience on this project?

The trick with ANY pair of speakers/monitors is knowing how that particular set responds in your room. The best way I've found to go about this is by doing loads of Reference listening on your new monitors. Listen to your fav cds on them backwards/forwards, critically/casually and just learn how they sound. Every set of speakers is going to sound a little different with the same exact mix. So it could be that your computer speakers were mis-leading you or who knows maybe your knew Events are just more revealing in a certain freq making things seem too loud or not loud enough?
