Flamingo!
My newest guitar is also my oldest. :D Made circa 1910's, this thing is around 100 years old.

It is a flamenco/classical guitar, most likely made in Spain. Unfortunately there is no label :( but I am sure it is 100 years old because of it's thin body style. The 7 strut fan bracing and the shape of the headstock slightly indicate that it may be an Antonio de Torres, which is like the Stradivarius of flamenco/classical guitars. This thing is literally lighter than a feather! The top is made of cedar, the back and sides are sycamore. Not too sure what the neck is made of. The fret board is rosewood.

Now, this thing plays like f***ing butter! And sounds top notch! Easily the best flamenco/classical guitar I have ever played! :guitar:
My only grievance is the pegs instead of mechanical tuners. It can be pretty hard to turn those things! But once you get it in tune, it stays in tune.

I'm including some photos and some demo recordings. I just finished learning the Bulerias yesterday so go easy on my mistakes! :D

That is awesome. Forgive my ignorance, but why the white plate on the front? I assume it is covering an area damaged by 100 years of strumming?

Enjoyed the clips too. Sounds great.

I wish I had that deck in the photos. The elevation and the tress make it very dramatic. Cool.

Thanks guys! The white pickguard is mostly for the tapping. Flamenco/Classical guitarists have long nails, and the guard i guess is just to protect the wood. It also gives it a slightly clicky-er sound tapping on the guard than on the wood. :D

That is SWEET sir! No comparison but I have an old bajo that's about the same age and it has the friction tuners too so I know what you mean. Again, that is VERY cool.

Whoops! This one snuck by me. Thanks TR! Yeah the friction tuners were not nearly as bad as I thought they would be. I have a sitar that falls out of tune every hour. This guitar stays in tune for much longer than that!
