Flamingo!
My newest guitar is also my oldest.
Made circa 1910's, this thing is around 100 years old.
It is a flamenco/classical guitar, most likely made in Spain. Unfortunately there is no label
but I am sure it is 100 years old because of it's thin body style. The 7 strut fan bracing and the shape of the headstock slightly indicate that it may be an Antonio de Torres, which is like the Stradivarius of flamenco/classical guitars. This thing is literally lighter than a feather! The top is made of cedar, the back and sides are sycamore. Not too sure what the neck is made of. The fret board is rosewood.
Now, this thing plays like f***ing butter! And sounds top notch! Easily the best flamenco/classical guitar I have ever played!
My only grievance is the pegs instead of mechanical tuners. It can be pretty hard to turn those things! But once you get it in tune, it stays in tune.
I'm including some photos and some demo recordings. I just finished learning the Bulerias yesterday so go easy on my mistakes!
