Hi folks...hope you're all feeling well tonight....

I'm posting a song by my nephew's band, Clearview. They're in their early 20s and have been playing in NYC (on Bleecker Street and in the East Village) for the past 16 months or so...not a ton of gigs but enough to keep it going. They're having a lot of fun....

The song is called "Pleasantries." It was all done in Sonar/Cakewalk. I think there may be a skip toward the end of the MP3. Sorry about that, fellas!

nice

Nice recording...
sounds like a cross between everclear and the beatles...

Really nice original sound....

cool ...happy music...i dont listen to much happy music anymore..it DOES have a beatles flavor but not too much ..hell EVERYTHING can have a beatles flavor to it...lol...i like it alot actually ...TRIPLE M would really dig this hopefully he finds it...the recording itself seems to be kinda muddy ...but again this is a song that for me transcends the mixing critique cause its a real nice song...the highs are really washy ...maybe its the mp3 conversion it almost has that sound to it..that out of phase-ness ...

great song pass it on.

jamal:cool:

Thanks for the feedback, guys.

I'm admittedly bumping the thread, hoping to get some more input....I know that the guys in the band would appreciate it.

Thanks...BobO

I thought it had a Beatles sound to it as well. Sounds nice and happy. The first thing that popped to mind was the vocals. I think it might sound pretty cool to have some more powerful harmony kinda like what King's X does. Just my $.02 : )

Nice B/V.

My only critique... The mix is a bit muddy.

Yep, good song. I liked it, had like a new british pop sound to it..band sounds like they're really tight. Drummer seems to stand out amoungst them all, he (or she) is quite good. Nice job
