My name is still Dave, and I'm still a gearaholic!

Anyway, there was this ultra-clean, mint 464 that I was dying to bid on! If there was ever a 464 to bid on, this was it, and at a really low price too! Anyway, I missed it, because it closed early in the morning, and I have trouble getting up early! Damn, missed another great deal!;)
 
I have an MP3 program that I haven't "gotten around" to installing yet.
Will try to install it by early next week to listen to your stuff.

On mp3's, I got a download [player] called "Winamp" and it works pretty well. For mp3 encoding, I got the "Audiograbber" encoder, with the "LAME" encoder enhancement. -Sounds 'lame', but works really well!

Hey, demensia, great score! You know, I love Guitar Center, and they especially love me! What Ibanez bass did you get? I have 3 Ibanez basses, my newest one is the GSR-200, in blue! I was at GC yesterday, and I thought about picking another one up in RED! -I kid you not!-

hey I can help ya gear-aholics ... look at it this way ... you need a lot a money to buy all the gear aight ?? well if you guys wouldn't have any money, you wouldn't be abled te buy all that stuff. so here's the solution !! Send all your money (cash/credit, don't care) to me and we will both be very lucky ! :) great plan huh :D

Sorry, but I can't muster up too much sympathy. All of you folks dragging your wallets down to Guitar Center every week are in only the most benign stages of gear-aholism.

The real gearaholic wouldn't be caught dead in a Guitar Center. Hopefully you will never have to know the horror of addiction to a real Pro Audio Shop, where the cheapest fix you can get is higher than the most expensive one at GC. :(
 
That, Little Dog, is the real curse of the gearaholic. At first, an SM57 stops the pain for a while. Then you need a C3. An AKG 414 follows, then the Neumanns, Beyer Ribbon mics, etc. That's why I have this love/hate relationship with Harvey. He's like one of those people who can smoke a pack of cigarettes a year. All that money, all that gear, and he's rocking with Oktavas and MXL 603's. Don't you hate it?-Richie
