Hi,
I thought I'd post some pics of my Jecklin disc. I used this recording "The Gift", acoustic guitar instrumentals of popular Christmas Carols.
You can see the msh1o mic mounted on the disc. Of course the other one is on the other side. I used fake lambs fleece that I got at Hobby Lobby as a nod to Jecklin who covered his with actual fleece. I also used 1 inch acoustic fiberglass because the article said to use more than the 3/8 foam on the original disc. Instead of Owens Corning 703 I used Knauf which I could buy local at HVAC. The sound absorption coefficients of the Knauf are similar to the Owens Corning product.
Here I am using the adjusting button. After adjusting from metric to inches the mic capsules are supposed to be 6 1/2 inches apart and about 1/3 inch above center. When the string is pulled straight out you adjust the capsule to the top of the button. I got this info here.
Optimum Stereo Signal Recording with the Jecklin Disk
I just had to include this shot of my Jecklin Disc in my vocal booth. That GoBo on the right makes a world of difference covering some of that shiny shower board. I also made the GoBo from the Knauf acoustic fiberglass. I bought the material at WalMart cheap and glued it to the aluminum foil backing with quick dry tacky glue also available at WalMart.
And here's a link to "The Gift" if you want to hear and you haven't already. "The Gift" was not recorded in the vocal booth but in a larger room with three video cameras going. Someday I hope to have a DVD of "The Gift".

The VBR mp3 files may not play well in media player. Click through to archive.org for other formats.
Enjoy!
Thanks,
