My Heart - a DTB Production

This is a beautifully written song from the heart....
Dan Thompson wrote it....played his classical guit on it........
and graciously allowed me to add bass and cello to it...
I just wanted to share it with all of you...
so, without further ado...

Nylon string....I hear steel here big time....lead vocal could use some retakes in spots....what did you do w/ my heart....sounds good Doubled?.....as I listen...steel and nylon would work together well on this stuff. I'd bring that cello way up man...equal to the guitar. Sounds gr8!

Dan (DTB) was actually thinking of adding some steel to this one....it is a super nice tune as is though man...
and as is...I gotta keep the cello down....otherwise
it would step all over the guitar...ya know?
same with the bass....gotta be subtle on a subtle tune....ya know?

This finally played for me today, I dont know what my problem's been.
This is an interesting song for me. I liked the balance, everything is right there. I am a popjunkie, so I always want to hear drums but it came off well. So you play cello? Maybe you will help ME out sometime. I heard a sound at the very end that I couldn't place...it almost sounded like an etherial electric guitar way in the background. It was cool.

I can't play the cello

I gotta tell ya......the cello is fake...it's a Yamaha DGX202 Portable Grand synth...I ran it through a Pre-sonus Tube into my Mackie then my 10/10...then into CEP2 and EQ-ed and verbed with plug-ins...
Pretty though...ya know?

I don't know what the problem was. I tried a couple times and I clicked on the play and waited and it just didn't do anything so I left it and tried later...

I love the sound of a good classical guitar. Sounds very nice. I'd like to hear the chelo louder also and maybe the vocals back just a touch. Not that I didn't like the vocals, but I found them a little over powering to the rest of the tune.
