Hey guys, I've dabbled in recording a few things but here is my first complete track. If anyone has any kind of feedback it would be much appreciated :D

Thanks in advance :)

Nice singing voice. The vocal is too soft before that autotune thingy. After that i thought it was the right level. Liked the harmonies.

Instruments have that "this is obviously MIDI" sound to them. If that's what you're going for then great. But there's an artificial-ness there.

The mix is missing a low end instrument. there's a tecno-kick, but it needs a bass IMO.

Agree with TripleM that that first section of vocals is too low - overuse of autotune on the vocal generally, and I'm not talking about the bits when you're clearly using as an effect, such as on harmony vocals.... makes it sound like a Glee outtake - makes it sound too artificial.

Otherwise, not bad.. I'm only listening on small headphones so can't comment on the overall EQ balance...

Ditch the autotune - it's a stale effect & will date your music massively in three months time.
NO BOTTOM END.
Def. a modern pop song. Interesting that you've autotuned heaps but the nasal, slightly flat, vocals remain.

Brilliant thanks a lot guys, extremely nice to receive mainly positive feedback, on the performance as well as the recording!
I'm not sure what I did but (besides at the end where as you've all pointed out it is a deliberate effect) I really didn't use all that much autotune, yet it still sounds kind of techno. Then again this is coming from someone with a fairly untrained ear compared to the rest of you and someone that doesn't mind autotune as much as others might!

Interesting that you've autotuned heaps but the nasal, slightly flat, vocals remain.
Obviously didn't autotune heaps then I guess! Will take your advice and certainly lessen it at least though :)
