Alright!

After months of work, saving money, buying equipment, reading threads, books and magazines - finaly I have my first band that I'm about to record. They want solid demo recording.

I dont have my own place for drum recording so I got to go to their garage for drum tracking. They want to record drums in the garage and everything else at my appartment(I'm from Europe-we have a strong brick walls).

So I need an addvice from you guys about how to set up monitor mixes and any other addvice that you think it can help me!!

These are the instruments:

1.Drums
2.bass
3.guitar
4.keyboard
5.vocal

We are planning to have at least Bass and Guitar player to play their parts for the drummer while recording drums.

This is the equipment:

1.Digi 001
2.1604 VLZ Mackie
3.compressor 266xl DBX(stereo)
4.Headphone distribution amp(4 channels)

I got all the mic's that I need.
I don't know if I should use VLZ 1604 for monitor mixes or digi001 and how shoud I set them up???

I also have Digimax LT but when I record enable tracks in PT I hear some peaks that are coming in in specific intervals like it is comming from the electricity or something even though the mic is not pluged in.Any ideas why?? That's why I decided to use Mackie's preamps.

Thanks a million rate!!!!!!
