This is my first mix. I recorded this on a digi 1 and digimax converters. This was done live at a show. with a local band. Let me know what you think. Thanks for your time

IMO I think everything sounds greats but the kit. Doesn't sound very well ballanced, could be bad mics?

Talented band/singer!

Hi

As mentioned, the drums could be better mixed. Very good song. The vocal is excellent. I really like the feel of the band; guitar, violin and piano. This song is full of emotion which is very good. Nice work.

Allison Krauss sound right? Well done.

I'd retrack those drums somewhere and you'd have a very nice tune indeed.

What a beautiful voice. The countermelodies in the violin part make it amlost a voice/violin duet at times. The drums have been discussed already and I'd agree they're the only real weakness. The strummed ac gtr part is nice but the opening fingerpicking sounds a little too transducer-y to me. But it was a live show right? So guess you can't get away from that unless you've got a mic on the guitar too that could be emphasized more there.

Well done.

Wow... If this is your first mix, you will be an amazing sound engineer. The kit sounds kind of crappy. But the kick works great in the song. Too bad you cant go back and get those toms/snare again.

Awesome!

nope the violin is a real one. I agree with everyone here. The drums are going to be retracked and i'm thinking about retracking the agtr too.
