It sounded okay when I first finished it, but when I came back a couple days later and listened to it through the headphones and through some regular stereo speakers, I didn't like it at all!!!
The vocals were okay, but the highs were waaay too high, and there was no punch in the bass, it sounded like only half the speaker was working:(
Now it sounds like that even in the monitors.!!

What was I thinkin that day?
Did I get carried away with the EQ?

Need some tips Please:(

I would suggest you to mix first (without EQing and etc...), listen to it only 2-3 days later (I suggest you to do that when waking up in the morning; your ears will be fully fonctionnal), mix again, let sit for another 1-2 day(s), EQ, compress, add effects.

Always make sure your monitors are placed perfectly or the stereo imaging may be wrong.

Peace bro,
Beathoven

I agree Beethoven

Yeah I agree with you beethoven, listen to your mix a few days later and eq it again. then do it again, then do it again until its perfect. :)

Thats the ill thing about digital systems (IE. Nuendo, Cubase Pro Tools, Logic) You can always pick up we you left off at.... Unlike analog.....

Where is the link?

Raticus

By the way, that's not me in the picture, I did the beats, all except one which my sister did.

These songs were recorded in a local studio....... can't say much about the engineer........... used too much reverb...........

Don't use realplayer.
I'll wait till I finish my new stuff before I mess with MP3.com

let me know what you think

Oh yeah, I also didn't do Ex-ta-cee

The songs are really good. Yeah I feel you on the engineer. I would definitely not do business with that cat again. But your beats sound pretty good. I would like to hear some of your new ish in the future

Thanks, haven't been back to him in a year, infact haven't been to anyone in about a year.
