So, here's all that nonsense about what to take into consideration as you listen.

1. no bass guitar
2. no vocals
3. i'm 16 years old, so is the other guitarist and the drummer.
4. this is my first mix...ever.

Now, here's some actual info about the recording.

Recorded and mixed in Garageband with an Alesis Multimix firewire 8 channel

Drum micing goes as follows:
1. Snare - Shure SM57
2. Kick - Superlux FK-2
3. OH 1 - Nady SP1
4. OH 2 - Shure PG48

SM57 used on both guitars.

Drums and guitar 1 recorded in a basement
Guitar 2 recorded in a different basement

2.5 hours of mixing (and it's still not perfect).

without further adieu, Crown Victoria - Number 2

"without further adieu"
IS ACTUALLY WITHOUT FURTHER ADO. Adieu is FR for goodbye.
the basements weren't too much of a detriment.
TOO many ideas for one song & the rhythm guitar playing against the noodling is WAY TOO LOUD.
Take a couple of these ideas & jam them ito a song structure. Do the same with the rest and you'll have 2 songs UNLESS you aim to become PROGGY.
This is good but it needs
1. bass guitar
2. vocals
3. 16.5 year old girl standing to your left.
4. more mixing once you get the extra elements.
Well done.
Oh, I hope you used beeswax for the feathers - it holds up better at higher altitudes and temperatures.

pretty good. the drums sound really good except for the kick needs to be louder. i dont think it really sounds right in the beginning where the rythm is panned to the left normally it should stay in the center the whole song. Pretty cool song though. good work

I like it. I wish I could play and write like this when I was 16. Cool guitar riffs and chugs. I think the drums should come up. besides that, I like the groove. Would like to hear this with vocals.

Where is the kick man? I'm into metal so I'm just a fan of the kick. I also play drums, so as always "Needs more kick drum, I got a fever and the only perscription is more kick drum". Kick comes out when you start compressing the higher end of it, gives it much more attack, instead of just the poof sound. Or even try EQing first, then try to compress if that doesn't work.

You guys been listening to Atryeu or something? Kind of sounds like you are going that emotional metal rock core yadda route. Good stuff.

The bass adds some much needed bottom but in all the busy parts it's a little lost a tiny bit of volume and a boost in the upper mids should give it some definition so that it has its own space.
The guitar balance is MUCH better.
Well done!

i adjusted the bass eq/volume and the kick drum eq/volume.

please leave more feedback, i LOVE help, so let me know what you think of it now.

Good tune - good chops - interesting songwriting, it has a lot going on now even without vocals......

The first part sounds like it has compression on the bass drum and it sounds overdone. But....it's not as noticeable once the tune gets going.

The lead guitar seems a bit low when the rhythm comes in.

Nice interludes where it goes quiet and then comes back up.

The lead on the pull - offs is very nice mix-wise...

And 2:56 is perfect - short and sweet.....

Not a whole lot I'd change about this and it's mostly personal preference....

Overall a nice job - let us know when the vocals are added with a new post....

:D :) :D :)
