My band "Hostility Rising" looking for opinions

Hey ya'll. My name is corey and I happen to play guitar for a metal band me and my cousin started.

We have 11 songs that we've recorded in his house. I've tried my best to mix it good and master it even better, but it's still pretty raw. This has been the result of 2 years just playing and recording songs when we had time off from jobs and other daily stuff.

I'm looking for an honest opinion on everything. It's my dream to do anything with music, and all I want is my music heard.

I greatly appreciate everything, and know that this is a 2 man project. Me and my cousin Nate wrote everything, and we play all the guitars, the drums, and do the singing.

OK, bear in mind I know next to fuck all about recording, but it seems to me the sound lacks depth, there's lots of bass missing and cymbals seem too high in the mix. Maybe better/different microphones? (Yeah I don't know anything about recording)

The music though - it's amazing. Guitar riffs are killer the drums are exactly the right amount of violence, I love the Black Flag-esque screaming vocals. If I'm looking to be critical, when the vocals are more clear and melodic, it seems slightly shakey and strained, like the singer might need to do a bit of vocal self-training and stretching, but really that's only cause I'm looking for a criticism. I love it, this is actually going on my ipod.

Edit: yeah this might be patronising and tell me to fuck off, but do you sing from the diaphragm? There a videos about it on youtube. "Singing from the Diaphragm", just a thought, helped me out.
