Please check my band out at www.purevolume.com/fredsfear and www.zebox.com/fredsfear ... All songs recorded by yours truely in our project home studio.

Constructive criticism is always welcome. I'm also looking for online alternatives to promoting our band. I am not very well versed in the business side of music. If anyone can give me some direction when it comes to promotion, that'd be swell. Thanks for your time.

Hey, sarcasm.

Nice work! I dig your sound, and I especially like the first 2 songs there!

A couple things I thought while listening... The guitars seem to sit higher in the mix in that 1st song and sorta seem to bury the drums. Also, overall it sounds like some of the cymbals are a little sizzly/fuzzy (don't know how to explain it - too sibilant? don't know if sibilance applies to non-vocals, but sounds like that) and maybe the snare could have a little more pop/definition to it.

Good stuff! :)

Thanks a lot. I agree with you on all the counts. The drums were a bit problematic. I hadn't spent as much time as I could have. I'll probably wind up going back and doing a lot of tweaking.

There's one really bizarre song at www.purevolume.com/fredsfear/music that has a butt-load of techno/electronica elements mixed with a punk/rock sound called Ryan's Song that you may have missed. Check it out and let me know what you think if you have the time. Thanks for the criticism. Muchly obliged.

very impressive, i really enjoyed listening to it, i agree about the drums, could be tweaked a bit. there is one thing that you may really like or may really hate, I think you sound exactly like blink 182, the overall feel just seemed to be them and i could have confused you with them very easily, you may not like that or you may really like it a lot, but that's what it sounded like to me. the quality of your recording was excellent.

Checked out the other link you mentioned and gave Ryan's Song a listen. I really like that one too! Is very sentimental but still manages to rock!! I think you guys have a really good sound if you can just fix up those drums. Again, I think there's some funky stuff going on with the cymbals, and the snare sounds weak. Scream didn't do that much for me, but I really dig the other 3! Real tasty! :)

I thought "The Camping Song" sounded very good. "Sixty Billion Ways to Die" has the sizzly cymbals that really mess with your mix. I'm sure if you fixed those you'd open up a whole lot of room for your guitars. Same with "Scream". The tunes are pretty good though.
