my 22-2 is playing in slow motion problem

hi guys. my tascam 22-2 is playing back in slow motion. sounds like satan is speaking through it, so to speak...

motor problem?

any ideas? or help...

What kind of tape are you using?

What speed is the playback set to and is that the same speed at which the material was recorded?

most common reason is the belt needs to be changed -- easy fix if so. could be many other things too, but open it up and look / feel if the belt is loose and / or going gooey.
