I needed a good recording mike on a shoestring budget. I found this mxlv63m bp condenser mic for about $60.00. It can use a 9 volt battery or phantom power. I use it with my tascam 424 mk3 for vocals, acoustic guitar and micing my amp. I play mostly blues. sounds very good for $60.00. Its made by marshall electronics.

I have one and have had decent results on male vocals. Its a good starter condensor and orginally was a $300 mic. QC is rough so you could get a good one or not so good one. For $60 dollars its a pretty good deal. Its basically a 1006.
