Hey cominginsecond, do you own any other LDC mic's besides the B1?

I don't even own a B1; I have a B3, which is basically a multipattern B1.

Now, this is funny............ lol.

I told you before, I have a B3, which is a B1 with extra patterns. Why can't I suggest a B1 for a budget conscious home recordist without it being funny?

First..... how do you know if the B1 and B3 sound the same when the B3 is in the cardioid pattern when you don't even own a B1?
Second..... the B1 and B3 don't sound the same.
Third....... I think it's funny that your recommending a mic that you've neither heard or own.
Note: cominginsecond never replied to the question.

Also, did you ever buy a B1 yet... and if so, are you now saying the B1 is an awesome vocal mic?

I told you before, I have a B3, which is a B1 with extra patterns, and I never said that it was an awesome vocal mic, only that it's better than the SM57.

the B3 is NOT just a B1 with extra patterns

The differences between the B1 and the B3, from what I understand, are very, very subtle, with the B3 being a little less nice to most ears. Therefore, if the B3 is a good vocal mic, the B1 can only be better...
if you can notice the difference at all.
NOTE: and there is much more… lol.
