MXL-56 Shockmount Threads

I just received my MXL 2003 and was getting ready to test it out and to my dismay the MXL-56 shockmount has a smaller threads where you screw it onto a stand than my mic stands. What gives? Any mic clip has always fit on any of my boom stands and I just assumed it was a "standard" size. I was bewildered. I stood there for at least a good minute, stunned, that I cannot set the mic to properly test it. :rolleyes:

So, folks, do I have to buy an adapter? or a special mic stand? Please advise.
 
Duh. I figured it out. :o

You may kill this thread and put both me and it out of our misery. :rolleyes:
