Hello to all,

I just purchased a Alesis Multimix8 2.0 USB which according to my research looks like a great device and seems perfect for my recording needs. What I'm having trouble with is recording multiple mic and instrument tracks at the same time from the mixer to Cubase LE.

I understand this can be done. I'm very new to home recording and I don't really understand the lingo and the engineering involved using Cubase. I'm just a guy who plays and sings... (well, tries too).

Can someone kindly point me to how I can record a mic and a guitar from the Alesis Multimix8 2.0 USB into Cubase so I can record them at the same time on two separate tracks?

I very much appreciate the help and I owe ya one!

Thanks in advance for the help,
-M

The multimix sends 10 separate channels to the computer.
You have to make sure than in Cubase, all of the channels are recognized
(long time since I worked in Cubase but the setup used to be the F5 function key)
Then make sure each track is pointed at the input you want it to record from.

A good Cubase book is a powerful friend.....
