Music Creator not recording

I just installed Music Creator Pro 2004 and tried to lay down a track or two from my amp to my computer. I have the left and right light outs going from my amp to the line in jack on my board (integrated sound on the motherboard - yea, I know.. but this is for starters). I set the software to record from line in but nothing records nor does it register on any of the meters.

I cranked up Audigy, selected line in as the input source and it records the guitar parts just fine. Granted, Cakewalk seems alot more involved but any ideas what I didn't tweak in Music Creator?

Thanks

I assume you are using audigy and an integrated soundcard. If cakewalk is recording your conenctions are all fine. If you are able to record with audigy why do you worry about integrated audio?

I'm not so much worried about integrated audio, but I know how others turn their nose up at it and I do want to get a decent soundcard at some point.

Cakewalk Music Creator ISN'T recording though and I'd like it to since it seems to be the way to go over Audigy or so it seems at first glance for me. I just used Audigy to confirm that the hardware/connections worked which they did. Creator just needs some tweaking but there's a whole lot more to tweak.
