I keep mine in the metal box that my SpongeBob SquarePants Burger King watch came in.

So, a few of us got in on one of the last batches point-to-point wired MSH-1A's? Maybe I'll have a matched set of collectors items in twenty years... ;)

YESSSS!!! I just jumped on the bandwagon. Only bought one for now because I'm a complete fag and I'm poor. :( Looking forward to checking this out.

Yep. Assuming PCB assembly goes well, in fact yours were from the last p2p batch. Although a few products in the works will still have to be point-to-point as the PCB displaces the chuck in the XLR, and for clip-mount products I need the chuck.

I was doing OK p2p but it looks like demand will soon outstrip my ability to produce  :( :) But I have one new product coming soon that there was no freakin' way it could be done p2p, too many components. So I had to bite the bullet :o

Oh and Tim, 'bout that performance. I dunno man..

Its oustanding as usual he he.

Do you or anyone know how this version compares to the original Tape Op design? (I have a pair of those and just curious if there's any difference)

What is he talking about can anyone help me find the tape op mic so I can get one, I can't seem to find it.

These Mics are Quite a Bit better than the Tape Op design, The Tape Op mics I made were a Bit Noisy and Overloaded very easilly but were good on quiet sources, Pluss the Tape op mic was Battery powered and these are Phantom powered......

You would be happier with these Mics.....

Hey guys, can a couple of this omnis work like OHs?
Thanks...

BTW, GreaT Playing and Sound!!!!

of course they could...
the thing with omnis though...you're not going to love them as overheads if your room sounds like shit...

On the MSH-1A page there are drum overhead clips. I don't mean clips to hold the mics, I mean snippets of audio.

Overheads should allways be Omni"s.....

If you're tracking multiple instruments in the same room and need some isolation, if the room sounds bad, if you use coincident micing techniques, etc. you're not always going to reach for omnis.
