mr8hd vs. comp. line in

what would sound better: the line in jack in my computer or an fostex mr8hd.

Depends on what kind of sound card u have. Also gettin a multitrack recorder will be based on your preference and budget. But if the sound card is good the music will sound good if recorded correctly and the Fostex will sound good if recorded correctly. Its the person behind the equipment that determines the work flow. Jus my opinion.
