MR8 copying problem

I've recorded a verse to a song perfectly, and I want to reuse the guitar riff later in the song, but when I try to copy the part (A-B) my screen freezes and won't shut off until power is cut. After this happened 3 times, I followed my manual step-by-step and tried it again. I can't get the part to copy.

Does anyone have any idea what's wrong?

This is a shot in the dark guess but did you reset your locate points correctly to the points where you want to copy? I think I had a similar problem once because I didn't move the locate "a" and "b" points to the new locations from where I copied the part.
 
i can't even get that far.. it happens when I try to copy the part originally.

Which memory card are you using? Is it from the "approved" list?

If you have a PC interface, you may find this an easier task using PC software than the MR-8.

copy

you must set the locate a and b points before you copy, then again to past, and it is much easier on the pc
