Hi people,

finally got round to re-mixing this on the weekend and re-recording the bass part... everyone was right it was very ick sounding ...even compared to other bass sounds I've recorded.

There are a collection of small changes ... mostly following on from advice from this forum. I printed them out and tried to use as many of the suggestions as I could. Tell me what you think now.

Look for "Mr X Mk VI"

Cheers

Bump!

..the beginning sounds like guns'n'roses -yeah!!
but to the mix: the vocals are a bit too dry for me and could need some dynamics also (maybe I'm wrong -just came from a birthday-party)

nice song&cool work!

cheers

Thanks groovejunkie. I've really struggled with the vocal sound for this song... It's now getting to the point I think I need to re-record the vocals since I can't seem to tweak what I've got. I know exactly what you mean about them being thin... I have a thin voice to start with. Maybe someone else should be singing this ?? (Hint Hint)

I like what you`ve done with the eq and the bass especially. The vocal is nice, i`d just bring it our more.

personally I like your voice and also I don't think that it is thin; but you seem to sing from the throat - if you could improve your (breath)technique to sing at least from the chest, you would have more control about and power!

- you should sing this -
cheers
