MR-8 and mp3 conversion

I am trying to convert a wav file to mp3 format, but in mp3 format, the file is playing at a very high speed ( think chipmunks). Any one have any ideas on what the problem could be? I'm using the MKW audio compression tool. Any other better tools?

i think the wave manager from fostex website will work , heard many people here praise it....

One of the fastest, simplest and free ways to convert to mp3 is to use Winamp.

I use Winamp 2.91 with an mp3 writer plug in installed. The plug in is named ChunYu_Shei.exe

Works great.

I did not know that. I use CDEX, a free converter, just search for it. I heard good things somewhere here on it too....
