MR-8 / 2 mics

Anyone here tried using any two mic recording techniques directly into the MR8? (from a cabinet/amp)

What kind of mics?

How'd it turn out?

I've been reading a technique over in the mixing/mastering forum for two mics, and it sounds extremely complicated...

I just learned that the MR8 doesn't have phantom power. So, no condenser mikes.
