mpc 2000xl help?

can anyone help me?

my mpc is frozen!! none of the buttons will work.

does anyone know how to restore, or re-initialize it?

any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am not sure but I can offer suggestions..........

I have a MPC 2500

The memory cards can often cause the pads to freeze and become unresponsive. Try restarting the MPC with the memory cards out. If that does not work, maybe the internal memory is triggering it. If you can locate it inside your box, (It looks the same as cpu ram) take it out and then put it back in. Lastly, dust is often a culprit. I would give the memory cards a blow job! (lol)haaa haa- and maybe clean inside the box as well. (The can of air the people use to clean keyboards have come in handy for me in the past, it allows you to apply a stream of air to a specific area.)

I hope some of these suggestions help! Again, I am not sure. I am only giving possible causes...........

When you turn it off and back on is it still frozen?

This happens to me once in a while. Usually I just get up and go get a drink or something and it's usually freed up when I get back. It might be from going thru menus and functions to quick. Not sure.
