This doesn't seem to be in manual. When exporting mp3, after you set the Export Audio page, it sends you to mp3 Export Options.

As od now I just left as is and continued. But than became curious.

I left the Bit Rate(kbs) a 132. On the first page bit rate is 16. Not sure what to set this to.

Also, What is High Pass and Low Pass filter with checkboxes next to them and
Variable Bit Rate Encoding?

thanks in advance

make the bitrate at least 192 to make it sound decent, and leave any kind of filters turned off. 16 bits is standard.

Agreed that 192 is a good bitrate to use for quality.

Never heard of 132KBPS.

128 is the "standard" for internet MP3s. If you can get by with 192 then use it.

VBR (Variable Bit Rate) - Means it uses only as much quality as it "needs to" for each individual sample. Supposedly the best choice for file size/quality. Also supposedly not quite as compatible as CBR.

CBR (Constant Bit Rate) - Means the quality is constant throughout the song and compatible with most, if not all, MP3 players.

If you are uploading to a site that has a set bitrate, for example; SoundClick.com, which has a set limit at 128 KBPS, then use 128 KBPS. Always use the bitrate that the site uses. Otherwise, it will downsample it automatically, and you'll wind up with an MP3 version of another MP3 (double loss in quality).

Hope that makes sense.

Yes, thanks. I did mean 128. That is the defualt setting in Sonar. I put my stuff on my own website so I should start making them 192.
