Does anyone have a page on mp3.com? Is it even worth it or is myspace better and more people visit your page?

Honestly, I Was Minimally Aware Of Its Existence - But It Will Take A Lot For Me To Go There Again - I Truly Feel "betrayed" By Them Maaphuckaz Cuz They Started Out As The Premiere Spot For Indie Artists, And As Soon As Indie Artists Started To Make A Few Pennies With Their Services, They Shut It Down And Re-opened It As A "for Industry Artists" Site - They Have Since Tried To Come Back A Little To Catering To Indie Artists, But . . Im Like . . . Phuck Dem!!! Unless They Will Reinstitute The Ways They Paid Indie Artists . . . .

Thats My 2 Cents - Can I Have Change?

What sites do you guys use to get your music out there and heard?

Screw those thieves! They still owe me, from the shutdown.

They owe me a lot too. Whenever they were up and running for that long while, I thought they were the best.. until they sold out, and became lil bitches....

mp3.com was the heyday of internet indie music . . . none of the substitutes are half as good as it was :(

The problem was the cash they were giving away came from investors . . . and once that money was gone, they turned to my.mp3.com in order to boost revenues . . . and they lost the copyright lawsuit, big time.

myspace is an ugly piece of crap by comparison

Funny how crap always seems to sell better!!!

Yes, I've heard that mp3.com (allegedly) owes people money. Have no experience myself with them though. CD Baby has distributed my songs digitally to 29 companies. I maintain Soundclick and Artistlaunch pages, too, just for kicks. It's all about profile, even if you don't sell that many downloads. The problem with digital distribution (in some peoples' opinions) is that so many people are giving away their stuff free, that the "public" don't see the need to buy anything.

How much have you sold since your music is distributed by 29 companies now? Do you sell many digital CDs/songs?

None. At. All. :)

Actually, that might not be true because they can take an age (I've been told) to report sales. One thing I'm unsure about is how I would be able to verify the reports - or lack of - anyway.

They can take a few months to report. I_tunes can be tracked to an extent by looking at popularity. The good thing about downloads is: you will be listed for years. In an actual store they will take your CD out if it doesnt sell within 6 months or a year. You can say if anyone has ought it on emusic.

Do you have a list of the 29, or at least some of them? I am on quite a few that I am aware of, there may be more that I am not aware of.
