Anybody tested out the Motif ES and Triton Extreme side-by-side? Both have their good points but I'm wondering if the Korg with 8 voices can provide a much fuller sound than the Motif with 4 voice combo's even though most people say the Motif has better individual voices.
Would you recommend one over the other for "type" of sound?
Thanks
Can't speak about the Korg, although I do have a Korg Stage Piano.
Just picked up the Yamaha ES61. The patches are sensational. I bought the keyboard for its sounds as I also have a DX7. Obviously, the DX7 is older technology and I wanted to upgrade.
The manual for the ES61 is not very good. If you already know MIDI stuff, then you will enjoy using the sequencer and the 16 tracks.
If you're not sure, best bet is to take a trip to a vendor who carries the units and put your fingers on the keys. I have a friend who drove 110 miles to a major vendor to try out gear before he bought it.
I like the sounds of the Motiff but cannot speak to the Korg synth.
