RWhite: very well aware.. Thank god i've never sold them. That would be a nightmare. Maxtor falls in a close second place to drives that fail more often than others. Disclaimer.. should be on top. This is in my experience, not necessarily the absolute truth.
Quantum's are good. Never replaced one (well 1 actually), but lots of WD's and Maxtor's. I think Maxtor reconditions the drive that so many people send back... maybe that's why they have such a low MTBF. They do have a good warranty though.. hmmm..
