When an artist paints a portrait, what color do you think he uses most...and with what size of brush? there is NO magical frequency, Q or gain amount. USE YOUR EARS

NL5 Unpossible! Jan 15, 2006 #3 djclueveli said: What do you guys think is the most often cut frequency on vocals and by how much and what Q? Click to expand... I always take a deep, wide cut from about 2khz-5khz then a big boost shelf at about 10-12khz. YMMV.

mshilarious Banned Jan 15, 2006 #10 I hate 3kHz with a passion, but it's often just a conflict between hat and vocals. I have tinnitus right at 6kHz, so I leave that alone. But I would have to say the most cut vocal frequency is a 100 kHz low cut for everything but the low baritone/bass males.
