Irritating

Yeah, I'd have voted for that one.
But the next most annoying is "What's the best mic for hip-hop vocals?". :D

my fav would have to be "Help, only recording on left side!!"

"How come my recordings don't sound like stuff on the radio?"

Oh wait - no this one:

"Why does everybody hate Berringer gear so much?"

I wanted to vote for this one, simply because it brings up all the bad memories of those other shit questions.

Can you add a JAMFEST question to the poll? :D :D

Can anyone tell me the differance between a SM57 and a SM58?

And the old favorite...

Help! Newbie here! I have $8K to spend on gear and I'm clueless. Help me assemble a state-of-the-art studio and also explain to me how to use everything to sound professional, especially which presets to use.

Maybe I put too much in there....

Rap vocals...

I record them all the time. Why do people think that it takes a special kind of mic? I just don't get what adding the rap part adds to the question. A vocal is a vocal... use what sounds good.

Cheap mic or pres, the only real difference that gives you something to think about is what they look like. If you want a rack of cheap colorful gear, it'll look neat, maybe impressive to inexperienced artists looking in awe at all the switches and knobs, and even tubes, but the sound will be ok at best.

The only bad question is the one not asked. Folks come here looking for advice - but I do admit, some questions pop up so much from first-timers (including me) that a default answer should be "use the search function" - we have a good one here and I've learned a ton from it.
