I bought a Mostite Ventures guitar In 1965 and played it profesionally for a good number of years. It has always been my favorite of all the guitars I've ever owned. The inotation was perfect. It came from Mosrite that way. the neck was true and slim and easy to play. Well, I took it out last week. First time in years. I noticed that the neck had a rattling sound which was never there before. I figured the truss rod had somehow came loose inside the neck. I carefully removed the neck and when I tried to apply tension, it snapped off. I am heart broken! As most of you know, Mosrite went out of business years ago and Semie Mosrite has past on. I understand that there is a guy in Las Vegas who builds new Mosrites and reconditions old ones but not only is he almost impossible to contact but, from reading his web site, he sounds like an arrogant, igotistical s.o.b. If anyone can give advice or Knows of a luthier who might be able to repair my Mosrite, please let me know. I would need to verify credentials before even considering doing business. thanks

i'ld ask gruehn guitars in nashille for a reference... or perhaps they can do the work...

Where do you live? Maybe someone knows someone in your area.

Yeah, that's the guy.

I understand that he has the endorsement of Semi Mosrites daughter but the way the Internet is wide open to scam artists, it's anyones guess if that's true. Since you know who I'm talking about, would you know how to contact him? Thanks

walk, no run away from anything to do with roman........................

I went to Bryan Galloups guitar repair school many years ago and he does excellent repair work but he can be super slow at times.
I would may find a mosrite forum and ask around there is probably
a luthier out there who specilizes in mosrite and can properly fix your guitar.
Do not let a nut job or a noob touch a vintage instrument like that!

Well, sure, you want an experienced luthier to work on such a valuable (monitarily and semental) instrument, but surely there must be one close to you. I am willing to drive two+ hours, from Atlanta to Columbus, just to bring my guitars to a luther there. Slow? Hey, the best always are. Hey, you haven't played it "in years." What's another six months?
